Organized by the theater company Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora, Ei! Marionetas Festival happens every year in the city of Gondomar, with 2024 representing the 10th edition of the festival.​

"10 Meetings! Launching this cultural project in the city of Gondomar was a fascinating challenge, with a deeply committed team. The fundamental support of the Municipality and the consolidated support of the Ministry of Culture through DGArtes have confirmed the cultural value of this program over these ten editions.
Thousands of spectators, hundreds of participants in workshops, exhibitions, open classes, play spaces, training sessions, community performances, installations, performances by companies from all over the country, and more than 30 international companies that flew in from the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe to present their artistic works.
This is a solid program, implemented in the city, decentralized by the municipality, with extensive programming born from collaborative work with the local community.
10 Meetings! This 2024 edition features approximately 50 creative proposals for all audiences, four international companies representing eight countries: Uruguay and Spain, Ukraine and Poland, Cape Verde and Portugal, the Netherlands and Brazil.
Duda Paiva, Trupe Fandanga / Circolando – Cultural Cooperative, Teatro Regional da Serra do Montemuro, Theatre MarionBrand, Lua Cheia – Theater for All, VumTeatro, Imaginar do Gigante, Saaraci Criativo Teatral, Coriolis – Teatro de Objetos, Companhia Marimbondo, and Krisálida. Community collaborations with Projet’arte de Rio Tinto, Cerciesta de Estarreja, and the Vermoim/Sobreiro da Maia Community Center are also highlights of this edition.
The garden of the Gondomar Municipal Library “Camilo de Oliveira” will be filled with activities for young people and families, with free workshops taking place throughout the event, as well as traditional games featuring puppets, created by visual artists from the Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora company.
In other words, the PREMIERE of “Mãos de Sal – Lambe Lambe” is also a project we deeply cherish.
Much more will still happen. We'll be in the city center, but we'll also be, as usual, in various parishes throughout the municipality, filling the spaces with art and culture, in a necessary connection with our audience. "10 Encontros! Lançar este projeto cultural na cidade de Gondomar, foi um desafio fascinante, com uma equipa profundamente empenhada. O apoio fundamental do Município e o apoio consolidado do Ministério da Cultura através da DGArtes, vieram ao longo destas dez edições confirmar o valor cultural deste programa.
Milhares de espetadores, centenas de participantes em oficinas, exposições, aulas abertas, espaços de jogos, formações, espetáculos comunitários, instalações, espetáculos de companhias que vieram de todo o país, mais de 30 companhias internacionais que voaram das Américas, de África, do Oriente, da Europa, para apresentarem os seus trabalhos artísticos.
Este é um programa sólido, implementado na cidade, descentralizado pelo concelho, com muita programação que nasce do trabalho colaborativo com a comunidade local.

Mas o jardim da Biblioteca Municipal de Gondomar “Camilo de Oliveira” estará repleto de atividades para os mais jovens e para as famílias com oficinas livres sempre a decorrer ao longo dos dias do encontro bem como jogos tradicionais onde a marioneta está sempre presente, construídos por artistas plásticos da companhia Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora.
Tanto para dizer, a ESTREIA do “Mãos de Sal – Lambe Lambe” é também uma proposta que muito acarinhamos.
Muito mais irá ainda acontecer. Estaremos no centro da cidade, mas estaremos também como habitual por diversas freguesias do Concelho, povoando com arte e cultura os espaços, numa necessária relação com o nosso público.
